Navy Pharmacy Service Breakout

Description

Navy pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are updated on enterprise-wide initiatives, recent policy and procedure changes, and performance measures applicable to Navy pharmacy practice. Topics include fleet integration, readiness training, transitional communication, deployment readiness, and current and future force-shaping initiatives.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe Navy Pharmacy readiness initiatives contributing to Navy Medicine’s newly-developed mission.
  2. Discuss the Military Health System transition and how that impacts pharmacy services provided at Navy medical treatment facilities.
  3. Identify industry, professional, and service-specific best-practices to make sound clinical and fiscal decisions.
