Army Reserve Breakout Session

Description

Survey-level exposures to broad concepts that directly affect a reserve soldier are discussed. Career progression paths, military education requirements, deployment and mobilization opportunities and the process, awards, training opportunities and needs, retirement and the Post 9-11 GI Bill are reviewed. A historical review of authorizations and manning changes describe where we are today and where we may be headed. Readiness and our role in maintaining a medically-ready force through the use of a non-deployable medication tool are discussed along with a review of the Defense Health Agency and what it means to our reserve team.
