Lieutenant (Navy) Pyke, BSc (Pharm) is a Staff Officer in Pharmacy Policy and Standards, within the Royal Canadian Medical Services. He is currently posted to the Canadian Forces Health Services Group Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario, and has served 9 years within the Canadian Armed Forces. In 2014, Lt(N) Pyke graduated with a Bachelors of Science (Pharmacy) from the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was subsequently posted, from one coast to the next, to 21 Canadian Forces Health Services Center in Comox, British Columbia. In Comox, he served as the Pharmacy Team Lead for two years. In 2017, Lt(N) Pyke was posted to the Canadian Forces Health Services Group Headquarters, in the position of J4 Medical Operations and Plans 2.
In 2018, Lt(N) Pyke obtained a Certificate in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance from the London School of Hygeine and Tropical Medicine. The same year Lt(N) Pyke was posted to his current position, and deployed to Iraq as the Joint Task Force Impact (JTF-IMPACT) Pharmacy Officer for the Role 2 Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). In Iraq, Lt(N) Pyke coordinated a bilateral relief in place with the Navy Expeditionary Medical Unit (NEMU), and received a Chief of Defence Staff Commendation for his efforts. Presently, Lt(N) Pyke is pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at the Royal Military College of Canada.
