Dr. Adam Edward Lang currently serves as the clinical pharmacist provider for Internal medicine and Troop Medical Services at McDonald Army Health Center on Fort Eustis. He is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist and earned his PharmD from MCPHS University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lang also serves on various VA/DOD clinical practice guideline work groups, Defense Health Agency expert panels, and the American Thoracic Society's Tobacco Task Force.
Prior to his position with the Army, Dr. Lang ran the transition of care program at The Miriam Hospital, a Brown University teaching hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. At that time he was also elected to the board of directors for the Rhode Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Dr. Lang's research focuses on tobacco and nicotine use as well as preventative medicine. and he has run campaigns targeting their use throughout the Fort Eustis community. He has authored publications spanning various research areas, and his writing has been highlighted in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings' "In the Limelight" series.
His work has been recognized with the Arthur and Joyce Hurvitz Quality Improvement Award from The Miriam Hospital, The Bill Pires New Practitioner Award from the Rhode Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and as a U.S. Army Surgeon General's Iron Majors selectee.
