As the primary liaison to our nation’s federal regulatory agencies (HHS, FDA, CMS), Michael is responsible for leading the development and communication of APhA’s regulatory policy positions related to the profession of pharmacy. Prior to working at APhA, Michael represented over 74 Fortune 100 companies, providing health coverage for 60 million workers, retirees and their families in 200 countries. Previously, Michael served as Legislative Director to the Chair of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Oversight Subcommittee and Congressional Mental Health Caucus. Michael has also worked as a registered federal appropriations and issues lobbyist implementing practical solutions on over 30 policy issues for a variety of both nonprofit healthcare providers and clients.
