CDR Carrie Ceresa, Pharm D., MPH, is an Officer in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS). She began her career with the USPHS in 2003 as part of the Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SR COSTEP) and upon graduation from pharmacy school in 2004 began her first duty assignment with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She then joined the Food and Drug Administration in 2008. In her current role she conducts scientific reviews related to pregnancy and lactation as a Clinical Reviewer in the Division of Pediatric and Maternal Health. She has deployed a total of eight times throughout her career through the USPHS, three of those deployments in the role of Pharmacy Chief. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina.
