Delivering health services through appropriate prescription medications is vital to managing disease. The TRICARE benefit under the Military Health System (MHS) covers traditional prescription medications as well as individualized compounded medications for select drugs. Strategies are employed to ensure traditional prescription medications are clinically safe and effective as well as cost-effective.
