Pharmacy Deployment Issues: Opportunities and Challenges

Description

This session showcases individual and joint service deployment opportunities and challenges in various pharmacy practice settings.   Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who have been mobilized to provide medical care or disaster relief discuss their experiences when called to duty in support of military or humanitarian missions either in overseas combat operations, within the United States, or as part of an international operation. Topics may include: logistics management, combat and humanitarian operation assignments, and international operational deployments.
