Navy Pharmacy Service Breakout Session

Description

Navy pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are updated on strategic goals, enterprise-wide initiatives, recent policy and procedure changes, and performance measures applicable to Navy pharmacy practice. Topics include The Joint Commission (TJC) compliance initiatives relevant to pharmacy, technology updates, patient-centered/centric care, value/outcome-based initiatives, and current and future force shaping initiatives.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe enterprise-wide initiatives guiding administrative and clinical decisions within Navy Pharmacy.
  2. Discuss national standards and applicable regulations that can be applied to improve patient/medication safety and operational efficiencies.
  3. Identify industry, professional, and Service-specific best-practices to make sound fiscal decisions.
