Army Pharmacy 2017 Civilian Breakout Session

Description

This breakout session provides information on using the Army Career Tracker (ACT) to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) for career management, leadership and professional development.  The IDP provides managers and employees—both pharmacist and technicians—with career development tools using  individual career maps within the Army Career Tracker to enhance professional and leadership roles.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the mandatory civilian Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Army Career Tracker (ACT) career planning programs available to all Army civilians. Discuss Army regional results of IDP compliance and how use the IDP to enhance clinical, professional and leadership goals.
  2. List civilian AMEDD Career Program 53 (CP53), clinical and professional development and Army Talent Management training opportunities,  funding availability and career management information available for all civilians both pharmacist and technicians.
  3. Describe leadership and educational opportunities to grow leaders from within an organization and provide continuity in military-to-civilian conversion of leadership roles.
