Air Force Pharmacy Operations Service Breakout

Description

This session addresses pharmacy operational challenges, clinical pharmacy support to the patient-centered medical home, efficient pharmacy operations/streamlining, optimizing automation, continuous process improvement, best practices/lessons learned from staff assistance visits and Special Interest Groups (SIGs), electronic prescribing, strategies to reduce pharmacy percent retail spend, and compliance inspection preparation.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the current status and future state of the pharmacy operational challenges.
  2. Describe the status, lessons-learned from current operations, and future state of clinical pharmacy support to the patient-centered medical home.
